John McBlain, born 16th of July 1962, discovered he had a talent for mimicking voices when he did impressions of his school teachers at Ashfield Boys Secondary High School in East Belfast.

One day he was pulled aside by one of his teachers who told him "John you have a terrific ear for picking up voices you should start copying famous people."

Never one to hesitate McBlain swung into action and at the very tender age of 15 when he did his, now famous, first impression of the Rev. Dr. Ian Paisley
M.P.

Not long after a stockpile of other voices followed including:

Lord Gerry Fitt,
Tom King,
John Hume,
political commentator John Cole
Peter Brook,
characters from the children's program Rainbow : Zippy, George and Bungle
David Bellamey,
Patrick Moore from Sky at Night
Barry McGuigan
Chris Eubank
Lloyd Grossman
Prime Minister Tony Blair
David Trimble
Gerry Adams
Martin Maginness
Robert McCartney
Mo Mollem
The Rev William McCrea
Patrick Meyhew
Ronnie Flanagan
and of course as mentioned earlier the Rev. Ian Paisley
John McBlain also does a great impression of the news reader Trevor McDonald. With few male voices out side of his abilities and with his inane and outrageous sense of humour John McBlain is a very funny and topical man.

A natural mimic John is more than capable of doing Mexican, Pakistani, Chinese and many, many more cultural accents.

In the meantime the man they call "The Rory Bremner of Ireland" continues to mimic and lampoon all your favorite characters whether they want to not.Worth catching, any many famous people want to, you can now enjoy John at his best.
